We are the Romford group of the Embroiderers Guild who meet once a month to share
ideas, have fun and learn from each other.
We welcome all new members to our group and hope that they enjoy the meetings as we do , everyone is welcome. On your first visit you will be our guest so its free! I f you prefer you can email me through the contact page.
WHAT IS EMBROIDERY?
There are so many different types of embroidery and textile art and each one has its own unique style. Some examples of different styles of embroidery are in the picture gallery which our members have created. As you will see we are all very different ! However we all have one thing in common - we all love to create!
OUR HISTORY
Our group was started about twenty years ago by Wendy and Patricia (who are still active members in the group). These ladies were passionate about embroidery, they wanted to bring together embroidery enthusiasts so that they could share ideas and learn from each other.
They contacted the embroidery guild charity and the Romford Branch of the Embroiderers' Guild was born! From there it went on from strength to strength to become what it is today and it now has over seventy members!
The reason our group is still going strong is that we still want to bring together people who are passionate about embroidery and textile art and we want to ensure that this wonderful craft stays alive!
